Brance is happily married to his wife Lauren (they met here at the church), and the excited father of an active toddler.

After moving to Virginia in 2000, Brance launched his first business, Clear Blue Productions. Since that time, he has also started The Bluegrass Blog, a bluegrass music blog read daily by thousands of professionals and fans. As if that wasn’t enough, Brance also began Bluegrass Artist Services, a company providing web and ecommerce services and solutions to Bluegrass music professionals.

Soon after joining the family here, Brance began teaching the High School youth on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

Teaching the youth, filling the pulpit occasionally, and a mission trip to Poland in 2006, have all been used by God to stir Brance’s heart for the church. He is excited by the supremacy of Jesus in all things, and seeks to help others share in that excitement.

In 2009 Brance began an exciting journey toward church planting in Boston, MA. In July 2010 he closed down his studio and is now dedicating himself full-time to the task of preparing to move to Boston as a church planter. You can follow his progress on the church plant website at SummaChurch.org.
